The Komensky Center for Intercultural Development is a language school in Amman, Jordan, founded in 2008. It is committed to helping individuals and organizations develop the communication skills and cultural understanding necessary to succeed in a complex world.

 

The center uses a "communicative approach" that combines traditional and modern techniques. It emphasizes the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate in Arabic. The curriculum starts with the writing system and pronunciation, and then progresses to dialogues and authentic materials.

The center teaches both Colloquial Arabic (Ameeya) and Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).

 

Komensky offers four levels of Arabic classes: Level 1 (Beginners), Level 2 (Beginner-Intermediate), Level 3 (Intermediate), and Level 4 (Advanced). The courses focus on both conversational skills and grammar structure.

 

Students can choose between in-person and online tutoring, as well as regular in-person group classes at the center in Amman. Classes typically run from Sunday to Thursday, 2-3 days a week for 3 hours a day, with schedules based on the teacher's availability.

 

Yes, there is a non-refundable registration fee of 200 JD.

 

There is no refund for purchased or studied hours.

 

Yes, full-time students can apply for a one-year residency through the Komensky Center. A minimum of 200 hours of in-class study per academic year is required.
